The Latest

Saturday will have one class which will now be at 930. We’d like to get everyone working out together in one giant class because that is part of what makes CrossFit fun. Following the end of class, all lifting will be allowed for a couple hours while coaches train as well.

WODs will be posted everyday but not until you are fast asleep. We have witnessed a great deal of cherry picking going on. Especially on partner workout days it makes one of your team mates end up on their own, not fun. Remember that when you only work on the same things all the time your body doesn’t actually get better. You may feel like you are getting better at those specific things, but that will be short lived as your body adapts and will hit a ceiling due to the receptive nature of your movement choice. Do you want results? Then do the program, do what’s hard, do what you suck at, and keep it fun. This doesn’t mean you don’t get to hit your favorite movements ever, but it means your weaknesses won’t just stay gaping holes in your fitness. For the same reason that all athletes step outside of their sport to train to get better at their sport is the same reason you need to vary your workouts, and lucky for you CrossFit Unbroken is good at doing that for you. So follow the program.

Daily Workouts

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

“This is what I love to do.”

Shannan found CrossFit in December 2008. Since playing sports her whole life, she immediately fell in love with the team feel and competitiveness. She quickly dedicated much of her time to training and went on to compete at the CrossFit Games every year since the 2009 Games while on the Front Range CrossFit team. This included a 2nd place in the world finish at the 2011 CrossFit Games. Shannan is a Firefighter Paramedic of 10 years with NWFD and serves on her Department’s Fitness Committee. Kevin began following the CrossFit regimen in 2008 in Columbia, Missouri. He began competing in Olympic and Power Lifting in high school, and continued to compete in Power Lifting through college at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he also played Rugby and acted as their Strength Coach. • Jon Rajewich

“CrossFit has been such an amazing experience, I want to share it with everyone.”

Jon began the Crossfit method in 2009 at Crossfit Unbroken. Being heavy most of his life, Jon finally made the decision to change his ways and take control of his health. He has now lost the weight and gained his confidence. CrossFit is his engine for a continued healthy, active and energetic lifestyle. Wanting to share his experience and results, Jon went out and earned his Crossfit Level 1 Certification in 2011 and is dedicated to helping others achieve their fitness goals.

  • Jennifer Stack

“There’s no better feeling than seeing someone reach a goal and knowing you helped to get them there.”

I started CrossFit in 2009 in a New York Barn. The “Fight Club” atmosphere, immediate friendships made, and leaving my ego laying on the ground convinced me this was my new obsession. I came back the very next day and every day since & haven’t looked back. I played some sports in high school but never took anything seriously until CF. I loved CF so much, I wanted to share it with anyone who would listen and after a year, I was convinced to get my L1 to take my love for the sport to the next level. Nothing since has brought me so much happiness. Even if I’m not the best at CrossFit, it feels amazing to help others reach their best. What makes me happiest is seeing the look in someone’s eyes when they do something they never thought they’d be able to do.

    CrossFit Level 1

  • Lacy Harmony

“”I love CrossFit because it makes me more capable in every aspect of my life”

Lacy is a Firefighter with the Denver Fire Department who began CrossFitting in 2007 after being invited to a CrossFit gym by coworkers. She found that the intensity of CrossFit workouts corresponded with the varying modalities of firefighting. For Lacy, CrossFit continuously develops key aspects of fitness such as strength and endurance. CrossFit training has helped Lacy to compete and excel at several triathlons and distance running. She also has seen improvement in her overall coordination, technique, efficiency and self discipline. Helping others better themselves through fitness is fulfilling and rewarding for her. Lacy is also an avid skier in her spare time and those close to her know that she rarely backs down from a challenge. CrossFit has helped Lacy to become more driven and welcoming to any challenge that comes her way.

  • Brett Burke

“Fitness has become an addiction for me. I love seeing just how far I can push myself and continually strive to improve.”

Brett has been CrossFitting since 2010. In high school he was an All American in track & field and cross country and went on to compete in college on a full athletic scholarship. After college, Brett joined the United States Air Force and served for over ten years as a Firefighter and maintained a high level of physical fitness. He is now a full time Firefighter/Paramedic with West Metro Fire Rescue and continues to hold the department’s physical abilities test record. Through his dedication to the sport of fitness, Brett has helped bring CrossFit to the West Metro Fire Department and other area fire departments. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his two children and occasionally escaping to the slopes of Colorado for some ski time.
